How a Clearer Brand Helped This Nonprofit Speak to More People More Powerfully
Oregon Rural Action (ORA) came to us with a problem a lot of organizations face: their work was strong, but their brand wasn’t keeping up.
The logo didn’t work well at different sizes. The colors were forgettable. And overall, it didn’t reflect the energy or values of the people behind the mission.
They needed a brand that could connect with rural communities across Eastern Oregon—in both English and Spanish—and clearly show who they are and what they stand for.
WHAT WE CREATED
We started by listening. ORA shared their mission, their challenges, and their vision. Then we built a brand that could grow with them—something rooted in who they are and built for how they work.
SUNRISE
With the organization based out of eastern Oregon, the imagery of a sunrise conveys a sense of geographical location as well as symbolism of a fresh start and the hope that comes with it.

FURROWS
Having a visual reminder of the fields that feed the country and the workers who make it possible keeps the focus on stewardship.

ARROW
ORA is building a rural movement for the well-being of all people and our environment. Sometimes all it takes is a little help before things start looking up.
From the logo to the colors to the bilingual layout, every detail was designed to help ORA show up clearly and confidently. whether they’re speaking to donors, volunteers, or community members.
